MCA evaluators are especially interested in products that help families grow emotionally, physically and spiritually; are morally sound and promote good will; and are inspirational and uplifting. Still, we realize there are many important works that deal with disturbing themes or contain what some may see as “objectionable” content. We believe content should be evaluated using educational criteria, and that content must be viewed in the context of the work as a whole. It’s simple! There’s an online application that takes just a few minutes to complete.

We accept applications year round and can generally have a decision for you within 3-4 weeks of receiving your evaluation samples.

In most cases, a decision can be made within 3-4 weeks of receiving your evaluation sample(s). Some items may take longer (i.e. novels, software, training courses, supplements, etc.). Items submitted during holiday months may also take longer to review.

An expedited process is available for some items for a fee of $100. If your item is eligible for an expedited decision, the system will present that option during the application process.

For physical products, we need three evaluation samples. Sorry, there are no exceptions. For digital media and other items, you’ll be given instructions upon completion of your online application. For multi-format book applications, evaluation samples are required for each format that is listed on your application. We will confirm receipt of your evaluation sample(s).

No. However the system will send periodic email reminders to let you know we’ve not received your samples. You do not need to respond to the email reminders.
