Summer is almost here, and that means the kids will be out of school very soon. As parents, we’re always looking for ways to keep our kids entertained (and out of our hair!!!) during their summer vacation. Part of that means making sure they stay active.
To help you out with this task, we thought we’d share a few of our favorite active and outdoor toys and games. Click on the pictures to learn more about a product and/or find out where to purchase. Grab a few of these and you should be able to keep your kids on the go this summer!
How could Crayola make sidewalk chalk even better? Gee, let’s see…maybe by making it neon and 3D! This Crayola Neon 3D Chalk Set is one of the coolest sidewalk chalk sets we’ve ever seen. The fluorescent pigments are even brighter in sunshine. Durable plastic 3D glasses feature special lenses that make chalk colors float above the ground at different levels! Try playing hopscotch with this!
The ZB Freestyle Board is the perfect hybrid of skateboarding and parkour. To be honest, this is really fun for any age, even us adults! It’s designed for use indoors and outdoors, so your kids can burn plenty of energy with this even on rainy days. It bounces well on grass, concrete, carpet, and…pretty much everything else!
Unlike most games that hardly require you to move, Fitivities allows you to be active without even noticing it. Each individual or team competes against each other by completing the number of repetitions, which are determined by the spin of the arrow. Who ever thought you’d break a sweat playing a board game?! This is great fun for the whole family!
You may think that your standard football is good enough. If you think that, we’ve got news for you; the E-Z Grip Football
is so much more fun! Why? Well, to start with, you can use it in the pool, ocean, or rain and experience the phenomenal grip whether it’s wet or dry. The soft, but tough and stretchy outer web provides its superior grip. The inflatable inner ball is very durable. Plus, it bounces on any field, including grass, sand, and water! Your kids will love these!
The Aquapod Bottle Launcher is a safe outdoor bottle launcher. It requires no assembly and is ready to launch with the addition of a regular 2-liter plastic soda bottle and an ordinary bicycle pump. This thing is really fun! But don’t take our word for it! Check out those awesome Amazon reviews and try it for yourself!

Love the self sealing water balloons! A post aimed at toddlers like this would be wonderful!
Thanks for the comment, Erin! Those self-sealing water balloons are so much easier! We never want to go back to the tie-it-yourself kind! LOL. Thanks for the suggestion. We’ll put together a post of toddler toys in the future!
