Well-Beings: Wellness for Kids
With all the focus on the medical realities and political struggles centered on the Coronavirus, it’s easy to overlook how the struggles effect the emotions and mental health of society’s most vulnerable representatives — children. There’s no Twitter or Instagram for little kids, so one developer set out to create a platform for them to express themselves.
This new app for children allows them to express how they’re feeling and seek activities to help them deal with those feelings. Kuato Studios launched the new Well-Beings, a wellness app for kids designed to encourage them to be present and mindful of how they’re feeling. They can use the platform and share their results with their parents to maintain a sense of social support.
Designed as a free resource for children faced with the mental effects of the global pandemic, the app features an interactive call to action for kids to determine how they are feeling during that time. Selected visually, the options of emotions vary between happy, sad, creative, active, curious and worried.
