For this interview, we were able to speak with Dmitriy Yan, Chief Executive Officer of Bimi Boo Kids! Bimi Boo Kids is the company behind the Mom’s Choice Award-winning app, Bimi Boo Kids Learning Academy! Bimi Boo Kids Learning Academy is a subscription-based comprehensive educational app for preschool development. Learning Academy features over 1700 entertaining games and activities that are suitable for both boys and girls from 2 to 5 years old. The app covers the essential curriculum for preschool: letter and number recognition, reading, tracing, spelling, phonics, addition, subtraction, shapes, colors, patterns, and much more. MCA: Hi Dmitriy, thank you so much for joining us, and congratulations on your Mom’s Choice Award! Bimi Boo Kids Learning Academy is perfect for kindergarten and preschool kids because it has everything: learning games, short stories, entertaining puzzles, interactive books, and educational videos! Can we first start the interview by having you tell us about the creation of your company, including its mission and vision?

Dmitriy: When we founded Bimi Boo Kids, we had the vision to create a world where all kids could have a wholesome childhood and access to the best educational resources.
We believe that every child deserves to have the best chance at success in life. That starts with having a parent or caregiver who is supportive and engaged, but it also means giving them kids the tools they need to grow up happy, healthy, and well-adjusted.
That’s why we make our products with love—because when kids are happy, they learn better!
We started out Bimi Boo Kids with our drawing app in 2016, and since then, we’ve developed 16 more educational apps for teaching kids important skills they need.
In 2018 we introduced our first line of wooden toys for kids—all designed to help little ones learn while they play!
In 2019, we debuted the educational series “The Incredible Stories of Bimi Boo and Friends” for kids. Filled with fun facts, learning songs and exciting adventures.
And we believe that every child deserves to have the best experience possible, and that’s why we work with the best experts from a variety of fields – psychologists, child development specialists, and more – to ensure that all of our products are safe, educational, and fun.

MCA: Tell us about the research that went into the Bimi Boo Kids Learning Academy app’s unique features, and describe these features!
Dmitriy: The Bimi Boo Academy app is designed to help kids learn the skills they need for preschool and kindergarten. It’s been created in collaboration with child psychologists and experts in early childhood education, so it covers all the essential curriculum.
The app is easy to use, so kids can start playing right away—there are no ads! Just hours of fun learning experiences that are presented in an entertaining and colorful form.
The Academy has more than 1700 games that are perfect for getting ready for preschool. Kids can go step by step on the learning path, or alternatively, they can choose which game to play. Games on the learning path are accompanied by a narrative story that gets children acquainted with the world of Bimi Boo.
MCA: What are the ideal ages for users of the Bimi Boo Kids Learning Academy?
Dmitriy: The ideal ages – are 2 to 6 years old.
MCA: Why are early education apps such as the Bimi Boo Kids Learning Academy app so important for young children?

Dmitriy: The time between birth and the age of five is a crucial period for brain development. And the right tools needed to help children develop problem-solving skills, social skills, creative thinking and communication skills. Moderated screen time can be a great way for children to learn, develop those skills and gain valuable experience.
Educational apps can be helpful in supporting early learning in young children. There are many studies that show that educational apps can help children learn.
And Bimi Boo Academy is designed to support learning and development in young kids through fun and exciting games.
MCA: What kind of feedback have you received about Bimi Boo Kids Learning Academy?
Dmitriy: We’ve received so many messages from parents who have been using our app esspesiallly during the pandemic and they’ve had great things to say!
Many of them told us that they were able to use our games to help their kids keep learning and growing, even though they had to stay at home.
MCA: What is next for Bimi Boo Kids Learning Academy?
Dmitriy: We’re always looking for ways to make our app better.
In the short term, we’re planning to add new games and activities for kids to keep learning and engaging. We also want to translate the app into different languages so kids all over the world can get the best educational games.
MCA: That is such a good idea and one so many children will benefit from, we look forward to seeing it come to life!
