As parents, part of our job is to worry. What household items could be a danger to our baby? What trouble could our toddler get into if we turn our heads for a second? Are we even worrying about the dangers that we should be worrying about?!
Ultimately, a certain amount of worrying is a good thing if it leads to us making safe choices for our children. Protecting our little ones feels like the most important thing in the world. Here at a Mom’s Choice Awards®, we put together a short list of some essential safety products for parents of babies and toddlers. We hope this list helps assuage your fears and guides you towards making safe decisions for your family!
KidSTAT First Aid Kit
The kidSTAT Hospital-Grade First Aid Kit is a must-have for anyone with young children. This isn’t your average first aid kit. It was designed by three moms, who just happen to be ER doctors! The creators noticed that the first aid kits on the market didn’t usually include they things they used on their patients, so they made their own. The kit is equipped with instructions and hospital-grade products to treat the most common childhood emergencies: aches & sprains, bites & burns, and cuts & scrapes. Learn more here.
Dreambaby Adhesive Mag Lock
We all have nightmares about our toddlers getting into a cabinet they shouldn’t and hurting themselves. There are lots of great child safety locks on the market, but one of our favorites is the Dreambaby Adhesive Mag Lock. It hides inside cupboards where your children cannot see the locks or attempt to open them. The lock can only be released with the magnetic key. Learn more here.
Guardian Angel Shockproof Safety Outlet
The Guardian Angel Shockproof Safety Outlet provides 100% shockproof protection. It’s much safer than using most plastic outlet inserts. For one thing, with this Guardian Angel Outlet you don’t need to remember to cover up the outlet again after each use. Using smart sensing technology, the Guardian Angel Outlet sees a dangerous situation (like a child’s hand nearing the outlet, a bobby pin, a fork, or even a child playing with a plug) and turns the power off. Pretty neat, right? Learn more about how it works here.
Yochi Yochi 3-in-1 Child Safety Harness
Yochi Yochi 3-in-1 Child Safety Harness is a portable high chair, a walking harness, and a cart safety strap. It’s really easy to use and clean, plus it is small enough to fit into your purse. Learn more here.
VTech Safe&Sound Video Baby Monitor
No baby safety products list would be complete without a great baby monitor. Well the The VTech Safe&Sound® VM344 Video Baby Monitor with Pan & Tilt Camera certainly fits that criteria! The VM344 comes equipped with a high-resolution, 4.3-inch color LCD screen so you can have a crystal clear view of your little one. Plus, thanks to the camera’s pan, tilt, and zoom capabilities you can watch as your baby moves around. Plus, it can expand up to four total cameras so parents can keep an eye on more than one child or room at the same time. Learn more here.

I love the video monitor, it helps to put my mind at ease when I have other stuff that needs to get done!
Exactly! We love it too!
The kidsSTAT and BabySTAT kits are the best. My family of 5 could not survive without them!!!
Yes! We LOVE kidSTAT! Glad to know that you do too! Thanks for the comment!
I think out of the products the first aid kit and the safety harness are my favorite. The first aid kits never come with the stuff that you need and we would use the harness at the grocery store!
These are some great items and I will make sure to keep them in mind for anyone I know that is having a baby!
I love these products! They make me and my family feel safe
