Teeth Fairies: A Baby Teeth Tradition
Teeth Fairies are not your typically woodland fairies who consort with gnomes and trolls, rather, they are quite useful fairies whose sole purpose in life is to create healthy smiles in a fun and fabulous way.
Teeth Fairies is a magical book and doll set that encourages parents and kids to work together for the benefit of learning about oral hygiene in an entertaining way. Did you know that children lose over 20 baby teeth from ages 5 and up? As such, Teeth Fairies is meant to be used again and again to provide lasting memories for parents and their children!
Children ages 4+ will love interacting with the adorable plush fairy, and parents will enjoy the lifelong memories created and preserved through the personalization of the beautifully illustrated hardcover book.

Challenging the Myths of Autism: Unlock New Possibilities and Hope
Written by Jonathan Alderson
How many times have you heard that people with autism lack creativity, reject affection or suffer from mental retardation? As the number of children diagnosed with autism surges, researchers and educators are racing to define this spectrum disorder. But in trying to characterize this widely varying group, people often perpetuate a host of limiting and potentially damaging misconceptions. Provocative and meticulously researched, Challenging the Myths of Autism looks at the most prevalent fallacies, explains how they developed, examines why dispelling them matters and, most importantly, sets out a new understanding that will change the way parents and professionals view autism.

A Place to Call Home: Toby’s Tale
Written by G. A. Whitmore; Illustrated by N/A; Edited by Nina R. Champagne
A Place to Call Home is the heartwarming and inspiring story of an abandoned white German shepherd puppy named Toby and his cross-country search for a forever home. Narrated in part by the animal characters in the book, the reader experiences Toby’s world through his eyes and those of the animals he meets on his journey.
Toby’s life begins on a farm where the carefree, happy days he has known come to an abrupt end when his breeder decides to “dispose” of him and his sister Tara because of the color of their fur. With the help of a kind farmhand, the two puppies escape unharmed.
After a tumultuous time during which Toby is shuffled from place to place, he is finally adopted, but he quickly realizes his new family has deep-seated issues that put him in danger, and what seemed like an ideal home, turns into another place he must escape from.
As Toby struggles to find a forever home where he can feel safe and secure, he experiences some painful losses, but he also makes new friends—friends who will help him to trust humans again and teach him the power of love.
Inspired by a true story, this middle grade/young adult novel can be enjoyed by dog lovers of all ages.
“A compelling and inspiring story. Highly recommended.” The Wishing Shelf Awards.
2015 First Place winner of the Purple Dragonfly Awards Middle Grade category and Young Adult category.

7 Comments on “Weekly Roundup: Children’s Books, Adult Books, LEGOs, Toys, & More! Aug 28 – Sept 3”
Thank you for sharing these! I think I might have to add a couple of these to my daughters’ wish lists.
I need to get the “Mama Bird Papa Bird Obey Right Away” book! Any extra encouragement in that area is great!
All of this merchandise displayed in this weekly round up are spectacular. The only problem I see is the Wobble Ball not being as sturdy as it said it does. Nothing can be strong enough for my dog to distroy, but I have to get one for the kids.
Thanks for the comment! Have you tried the Wobble Ball? It really is great! Of course, a dog destroying something is a different story…they do have sharp teeth after all! LOL
I enjoy your weekly round up it’s for everyone in the family. Also it’s a great gift list. Thanks!
Thanks Carole!
Every items sounds very good but i really like the book choices.
